Lions club launched

The newly formed Withcott Helidon Lions Club held their charter dinner in Helidon on Saturday 13 February to celebrate the formation of the club.
President Mark Lavender said it was a pleasure to have been voted in as president of the new club and it already had preliminary plans in place for many community service projects in the Withcott and Helidon communities.
The club meet each second and fourth Monday of the month at the Withcott Hotel, 6.30pm for a 7pm Start. Those interested in participating in the club simply need to just turn up at one of the meetings.

Opposites Attract

On St. Valentines Day 1970 Bryan and Sue Beardmore said ‘I Do’ ...... ‘We will’ .

On the same day this year, forty years on, the two watched the 2010 Winter Olympics interspersed with the Cricket, while pottering around at home.

“The time has absolutely flown. Just seems like yesterday. “Sue says that the most rewarding reflection is that they can look over lifes’ shoulder and note one set of everyone - ‘Greats, Grans, and Parents, while their Granddaughter who started Prep this year currently looks over her lifes’ shoulder and sees exactly the same picture.
