Dorrie's 90th Birthday Celebration
HELIDON’S grand lady and local legend Dorrie Wedrat celebrated her 90th birthday with over 100 family and close friends on Saturday 13 February at her daughter Noreen’s home in Grantham. Dorrie was thrilled that her children, 15 grand children and 24 great grand children could join her on her special day. Celebrating with their Mum Dorrie are Adrian and Geraldine Wedrat, Lorraine Hickmott, Marcia and John McWha, Noreen and John Gallagher.
Groups encouraged to supply info for directory
Community groups and businesses in the Lockyer Valley are encouraged to supply their details to council for inclusion in an updated community and business directory covering the entire Lockyer Valley region.
Information in the directory is currently being compiled by council’s Youth and Community Development Officer Allyson Corti.
Sporting groups, senior’s groups, social clubs and any other community related groups will be provided with a free listing in the directory.
Businesses will also be provided with a free listing with contact details and will also be provided with an opportunity to place a block advertisement in the directory at a small cost.

This is the only directory which will cover the entire Lockyer Valley region and the idea is for it to be as comprehensive as possible to allow current residents, new residents and visitors to easily find information on the region’s services and clubs.
