Recently the Red Hat Society chapter ‘LOCKYER LOVELIES’ celebrated their 1st birthday.We came from humble beginnings of three members to the present membership of 10 and still growing. Forty ladies had lunch at the Royal Hotel at Gatton.The day was made extra special by sharing it with so many of our Red Hat sisters from several other chapters.

This included 10 Queens from Toogoolawah, Ipswich Coominya, Laidley, Allora, Cabarlah and several Toowoomba chapters. Great company, good food, a surprise coronation as it was announced that the new Queen for the Lockyer Lovelies is Caz Dallinger, and birthday cake.

What more could you want for a fun day.
They meet every 2nd Tuesday and the last Friday of the month.Members decide what they would like to do on the Tuesdays from coffee mornings, movies, Ten pin bowling all coming events. The Friday is always a lunch. They meet at various venues from Gatton to Toowoomba. So if you are a lady over 50 who is looking for a bit of fun and friendship give CAZ a call on 46976645.

 

Jerry Hat Trick Band to play at Withcott

The Jerry-Hat Trick Band’ is back for their second rehearsal at The Withcott Hotel…they would like to say ‘by popular demand’ the truth being they are back to pick up the money owed by the landlord for our first appearance..!

Tony Lingard - (Bass and poor vocals) – He will not stop putting bands on at his local pub…don’t give him a microphone, Gary O’Brien - (Drums and smoke machine) - Mr Status Quo Australia and will play with any old bunch as long as they play ‘Roll Over Lay Down’!...and the Anniversary Waltz..if we let him..
Mr Steve Brewster - (Lead Guitar and Vocals) - Francis Rossi (Status Quo) of S.E Queensland and knows more covers than a rain soaked MCG!
