State Government and Council Pension Subsidies
Land owners holding a current ‘Pension Concession Card’ issued by Centrelink or a ‘Repatriation Health Card – For All Conditions’ issued by the State Department of Veterans Affairs may be entitled to Pension Subsidies on their Rates and Charges. If you believe you may be eligible for this subsidy and are not yet receiving it on your rates, please contact Council to obtain an application form.
Pensioners with access to reticulated water have been credited with an additional $35.00, or pro-rata, per half yearly levy for the 2009-2010 financial year. This State Government Subsidy is to assist pensioner property owners in the South East Queensland Water Grid area to remain in their own homes, by alleviating the impact of increased water charges.
If you have any queries regarding your current rate notice and or would like to discuss another rating issue, Council’s Rates Section can be contacted directly on
07 5462 0386.
